Do you pump out tanks? How often do I need to pump the tank?

We do not offer tank pumping services ourselves. However, if you need your tank pumped, just give us a call and we’ll be happy to recommend a trusted local provider.

As a general guideline, most septic systems need to be pumped out approximately every 5 years, though this can vary depending on household size and usage.

The red light is on, can I still flush the toilet?

If the red light is on, it indicates there’s an issue with the system that will need to be serviced.

In the meantime, you can continue using the system, but please avoid putting large amounts of water through it. There’s a toggle switch that will silence the alarm so it’s not constantly going off.

We’ll get a technician out to you as soon as possible. In the meantime, feel free to call if you have any other questions or concerns.

Why is there a smell outside?

If you notice a smell outside near the system, this usually indicates there’s an issue that needs to be addressed.

Please give us a call right away so we can help diagnose the problem and get it serviced as soon as possible. The sooner we address it, the easier it is to prevent any further issues.

Why is there a smell inside the house?

If you notice a smell inside the house, it is most likely caused by a dry trap in one of the drains.

This is common in drains that haven’t been used for a while. Simply run water in those drains for a minute or two to refill the trap. This often solves the issue.

Why is water pooling around the lid?

If water is backing up, the first thing to check is the chlorine feeder.

The feeder pipe is the first white pipe after the lid in the yard. Unscrew the cap and gently pull the tube out of the pipe. This often clears the clog and allows the water to recede.

If that doesn’t fix the issue, the outlet line might be clogged with leaves or dirt.
